Why we built this
The defensibility gap.
Forensic accountants do extraordinary work under conditions that most software was not designed for. Their conclusions move money, sentence people, and stand up to professional cross-examination. Yet the tooling they rely on - spreadsheets, generic e-discovery, general-purpose AI - cares nothing about whether a Finding is defensible.
Quarare was built to close that gap. Not with a heavier process, but with a lighter one: continuous scoring that surfaces defensibility as the analyst works, so the discipline becomes part of the writing rather than a separate review pass.
The methodology is grounded in the Federal Rules of Evidence and Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (1993). The product is grounded in what practicing forensic accountants told us they actually need.

How we build.
The expert decides.
Quarare surfaces patterns, scores defensibility, and proposes citations. It does not produce Findings. The line between AI-surfaced hypothesis and analyst-promoted Finding is bright and preserved in the audit trail.
Defensibility is a process, not a property.
A report is not defensible because it was checked at the end. It is defensible because every methodology choice, every cited record, and every phrase was scored along the way.
Weights stay proprietary. Principles do not.
The Daubert four-factor framework is public. The six-factor Reliability model is documented. The proprietary part is calibration. Customers see methodology; competitors do not see weights.
Audit everything an analyst does.
Every override, every promotion, every edit, every export. The audit trail is the product as much as the scoring engines are. Opposing counsel should never find a gap.
